Types of gas boilers we install
There are three main types of gas boilers that we supply and fit
Combi
As the name suggests, a combi boiler combines a water heater and a central heating boiler within one unit. All of the components are integrated into one compact unit. These heat water on demand when you open an open a hot tap - and you won’t have a separate water cylinder. The water is provided by the water mains.
System
A system boiler directly heats your central heating while providing hot water to a storage cylinder. Similar to a combi, it heats the water from the water mains. The cylinder is usually located in a loft or airing cupboard. You will not have a cold water tank in the loft. This is ideal if you need hot water from multiple outlets simultaneously, such as showers and taps.
Standard
A standard (or 'conventional') boiler is similar to a system boiler, but the cold water is fed from a cold water tank (usually in the loft or attic) and not directly from the mains. There are also more external parts, requiring a little more space in your home. The cold water from the tank is heated and stored in a hot water cylinder. Similar to a system boiler, it is ideal if you need hot water from multiple outlets
